I heard a song called Psycho from the Korean girl group Red Velvet. The song's melody and tone touched me deeply, describing the spectacle and subtlety of people in a relationship. Meanwhile, I recalled the loneliness and thought of love due to the ruthless and endless winter which almost devours all hope and colour in England.

This project will be aimed at exploring the positive and negative effects of love and how it influences others, based on my own ambiguous experiences, others' observations and thoughts, and relevant research on love. More significantly, I hope that it will help me to explore and experiment with electronic painting, allowing me to form a more mature and stable visual language before entering the field of editorial illustration in the future.

Through introducing a concept in the form of text and pictures or putting forward a statement of love in the form of a question and answer, I created corresponding illustrations for each statement or concept about love to let the audience better understand and perceive the message. In terms of overall typography I tried to keep it clean and tidy so that the audience can see the key points at first sight.

I found the original typography too neat and a little boring. So based on this situation, I added handwritten fonts to adjust the visual effect and increase the interest whilst reading.

By using brushes of diverse materials to further explore, experiment and comprehend the features of the electronic painting style, I utilised the advantage of being sensitive to colours to match and combine them to create. The most significant question to consider is how to allow my audience to naturally connect to the relevant textual statements about love whilst viewing these illustrations below, so narrative will play a crucial role in the following digital illustration style.
